Research Summary
Chaiwoo Lee's research focuses on understanding how people across generations accept and use new technologies and services. At the MIT AgeLab, she has conducted a number of studies with older and younger adults to explore perceptions and attitudes towards a wide variety of technologies including self-driving cars and driver assistance systems, smartphone apps, sharing economy services, health and caregiving tools and more. She works with a multidisciplinary team of researchers to find opportunities for people to stay active, healthy and connected throughout the lifespan.
