Research Summary
All aspects of human hands and their interactions with objects, including mechanics, sensorimotor functions, and cognition. Experimental and theoretical approaches in a multidisciplinary setting -- biomechanics, neurophysiology, psychophysics, dynamics and control, and computational theory of haptics. Research program includes design of electro-mechanical devices for both scientific investigations as well as for applications in rehabilitation, robotics, and human-machine interfaces for virtual environments and teleoperation.
