Research Summary

The MIT Laboratory for Energy and Microsystems Innovation (LEMI), under the direction of Professor Buie, explores the interactions between mass, charge, and heat transfer in advanced energy conversion devices. Systems of interest include hydrogen fed proton exchange membrane fuel cells (PEMFCs), direct methanol fuel cells (DMFCs), microbial fuel cells (MFCs), and novel hydrogen generation systems.
