Research Summary
Dr. Hansman consults and serves as a member of numerous advisory and technical committees. He chairs the including the FAA Research and Development Advisory Committee, the FAA WAAS Independent Review Board (as chair), and the NASA Advisory Committee for Aeronautics and the Aeronautics and Space Engineering Board of the National Research Council. He has over 5700 hours of pilot in-command time in airplanes, helicopters and sailplanes, including meteorological, production and engineering flight test experience.
