Co-Founder & Chief Scientist, Nectry; and Arthur J. Conner MIT Professor of Computer Science
Adam Chlipala joined MIT in July 2011 in MIT's Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science (EECS). He is also a member of the Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence Laboratory (CSAIL).
Chlipala received a B.S. in computer science at Carnegie Mellon in 2003 and his Ph.D. in computer science at UC Berkeley in 2007. Chlipala's research applies computer theorem proving to construct more effective software development tools. Much of his work involves proving theorems about the correct behavior of software using the Coq theorem proving system, about which he has written a popular online book, due out soon in hard copy from MIT Press. He also works in the design and implementation of new programming languages, including Ur/Web, a domain-specific language for Web applications, which applies theorem proving technology to rule out costly mistakes in orchestrating the many pieces of a realistic Web site.
Before starting at MIT, Chlipala was a postdoctoral fellow at Harvard. His research focuses on applications of formal logic to software development and analysis.
Co-Founder & CEO, Stack AI
Antoni Rosinol is co-founder & CEO of Stack AI, a platform to deploy AI Agents for Enterprises, backed by Google. He completed his PhD in Artificial Intelligence at MIT. Before founding Stack AI, Antoni worked at NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory. He is the recipient of LaCaixa, Bakala, and RafaelDelPino Fellowships, and has received several mentions for Best Paper Awards in the field of Robotics.
Co-Founder & CEO, Silverthread
Dan Sturtevant founded Silverthread in 2013 to commercialize 15 years of Harvard and MIT research on software complexity and business outcomes. While at MIT, he researched the empirical foundations of Silverthread’s predictive analytics linking design quality and development productivity, agility, quality, and staff turnover. Before this, Dan spent 15 years as a software architect and engineer, manager, and developer in commercial and defense enterprises. His domain experience spanned data analytics, computational simulation modeling, cryptography, virtualization, Linux supercomputing, and the fusion of satellite data.
Sturtevant has a B.S. in computer engineering from Lehigh University, an M.S. in engineering and management from MIT, and a Ph.D. in engineering systems from MIT.
Co-Founder & CEO, Posh
In 2013, Karan Kashyap, Posh’s Chief Executive Officer, began his journey at MIT where he met co-founder and CTO Matt McEachern during their freshman year by rushing to the same fraternity. His education at MIT included undergraduate and graduate degrees focused on artificial intelligence, where he was named a Siebel Scholar for his research work. While Karan was completing his graduate degree, he and Matt began AI and software consulting with enterprises across multiple industries, building a business foundation, and establishing a pathway to the beginning of Posh. Posh now has more than 100 clients across the banking and credit union space with an ever-growing client base and employee roster. Outside of work, Karan has joyfully traveled across 20+ countries, plays a variety of sports including soccer, golf, and squash, and enjoys cooking. He lives in Cambridge, MA.
