We are developing a basic research effort that grows from the general themes of structural biopolymers, self-assembly and additive manufacturing to engineer biointerfaces and to fabricate advanced mesostructured materials, organized across the nano-to-macro scales. The research is centered on the definition of new rules to design functional, meso-structured constructs with engineered forms and functions.
