Center for Polymer Microfabrication (CPM): Systems, the Factory and Enterprise

Principal Investigator David Hardt

We concentrate on the factory and enterprise level issues related to large-scale polymer microfabrication.

We concentrate on factory and enterprise level issues, with a particular focus on microfluidic devices, ranging from factory design and scheduling to supply chain management and basic business structures. We are interested in areas where systems and process physics concerns meet, in particular at the measurement and quality control level. We identify system issues concurrently with the development of the new products and new manufacturing processes.

Some current research endeavors include:
(*) Micro-hot-forging/embossing Production Systems.
(*) Design of Supply Chains. Research page.
(*) Biological Analysis Chips.
