Sustainability Project: Carbon Emissions in the Supply Chain Database of Information

As the world population continues to increase and our natural resources plummet, now more than ever, it is important to be aware of carbon footprints. Emissions from supply chain activity contribute a noteworthy amount of emissions throughout the world. In order to start mitigating supply chain emissions people need to know where significant emissions come from and how much emission specific actions produce.

The objective of creating this database of carbon emissions in the supply chain is to offer current and specific information on multiple emission factors. The database serves as an educational tool to familiarize users with a broad range of activities that create significant amount of emissions. All information was collected from available internet sources.

The database was created by information collected from:
(*) US Environmental Protection Agency
(*) Energy Information Administration
(*) Greenhouse Gas Protocol
