Microfluidic Systems for Live Cell Imaging

Principal Investigator J Love

Another area of research in the lab is the development of microfluidic devices that make it possible to perturb the microenvironment around live cells while under microscopic observation. One example of the types of experiments we are pursuing that are relevant to fundamental studies in cell biology is the stimulation of live cells by soluble ligands or drugs with temporal and spatial resolution. In one project, we are studying the kinetics of activation in B cells following defined exposure to cross-linking ligands.
