The Sasisekharan group employs a multidisciplinary strategy to develop tools to study glycans such as the glycosaminoglycans with an ultimate goal towards the development of novel pharmacological approaches to alleviate glycan-mediated disease processes. A central goal is to ultimately develop novel therapeutic approaches to alleviate suffering from disease and promote overall human health.
The lab is funded by grants from the National Institutes of General Medical Sciences, National Cancer Institute and National Heart and Lung Institute.
