Research Summary
Dr. Kazumi Wada's principal field of interest is chip-scale manupulation of light 1. for computation and communication and 2. for energy generation. The approach is based on Si CMOS platform that shortens time-lag between basic research and commercialization. The field is now referred to as Si Microphotonics, or Group IV photonics.
