Kiva is the Chief Commercial Development Officer at GE Ventures. In her current role, Kiva is building a high-performing commercial development and market intelligence practice within GE Ventures. Together with her team, Kiva focuses on scaling GE Ventures’ commercial impact through ecosystem development, partnerships, strategic planning and world-class programs.

Kiva started her career at GE in 1999 and was excited to return in 2016 as the Managing Director of New Business Creation. She brings over two decades of telecommunications, mobile and digital experience to her role. Most recently she was the President of Smart Cities and Industrial IoT for Qualcomm Intelligent Solutions. While at Qualcomm she helped strategic partners and cities drive digital transformation and connectivity adoption including LinkNYC. As both an intrapreneur and entrepreneur, she also ran a Colorado based startup and lead it’s funding raising and board efforts. She also held executive positions at Motorola and GE. Kiva has an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University and a bachelor’s degree in Science from Northwestern University.

In 2016, she was named to the list of Top 50 Industrial IoT 5G Industrialists and Innovators. She was also an honoree of the 2016 Women of M2M. Kiva holds board seats with CleanTech San Diego and Teen Volunteers in Action and serves on the Selection Committee for EvoNexus. As a passionate student of technology innovation she is a frequent lecturer, speaker and mentor at Kellogg, UCSD and UCI. She is based in San Diego with her husband and two sons. She is an avid skier and sailor, and loves to read. She started her career at Walt Disney World as a costume character—although she won’t reveal which one.

Sheri Brodeur is a Director of Corporate Relations at MIT. Prior to this, she spent 22 years at Hewlett-Packard Company in several roles. Her most recent position was in the HP Labs Strategy and Innovation Office. The role of this organization is to set HP Labs' research strategy and extend HP's internal research capacity by partnering with universities, governments, and other companies on a global scale to rapidly advance the positive impact of technology on the world.

Sheri spent 15 years with HP Labs, HP's corporate researcher center, managing major university alliances and programs, including a $25M program with MIT. She has been responsible for managing global higher education technology programs in the areas of Security, Digital Libraries (DSpace), Information Management, and Sustainability.

Prior to this role she spent the previous eight years at Hewlett-Packard in the sales organization moving from the position of Field Sales Engineer to Global Account Manager. In this role she was responsible for selling, supporting and delivering high end test and measurement solutions for the communications industry.

Brodeur has a BS in Ceramic Engineering from Alfred University and an MS in Solid State Science from the Materials Research Laboratory at Penn State University.

Dahllöf manages networking events, workshops, the STEX25 accelerator, opportunity postings, and helps define the strategic direction of MIT Startup Exchange. He is a two-time tech entrepreneur (one exit in cybersecurity), and has previously held roles in finance, software engineering, corporate strategy, and business development at emerging tech companies and Fortune 100 corporations in the U.S., Latin America, and Europe. Marcus was a member of the Swedish national rowing team and he is a mentor at the MIT Venture Mentoring Service.

The company develops a hardware and software platform that uses a combination of psychology and artificial intelligence to engage patients through interactive conversations. These conversations happen through mobile, web, and interactive robotic interfaces; together these interfaces create a relationship that can reach patients at any time they need support. The data reported back through the system gives Catalia Health’s customers valuable information to understand the daily activities and needs of their patients.

Kidd is a serial entrepreneur who has been working in healthcare technology for nearly two decades. He received his MS and PhD at the MIT Media Lab in human-robot interaction and his BS in computer science at the Georgia Institute of Technology.

Andrew M. Radin is cofounder and Chief Marketing Officer of twoXAR, a company dedicated to transforming how large biological datasets are harnessed to accelerate the identification and validation of new medicines. As Chief Marketing Officer of twoXAR, Radin is focused on understanding the market, identifying partners, and communicating the business. He formerly worked as an investor in venture and private equity funds at Macquarie Bank and has designed, built, and managed several small organizations. Radin also cofounded a mobile platform startup while at MIT. He holds an MBA from MIT Sloan, a BS in biochemistry and cell biology from UC San Diego, and a BA in economics from UC San Diego.

Arundo Founder and CEO Tor Jakob Ramsøy was previously a Senior Partner at McKinsey & Company, the global management consulting firm. At McKinsey, he led the technology service lines for the Global Energy Practice and EMEA Big Data/Advanced Analytics, and was also country manager for McKinsey Norway and led the Business Technology Office in Scandinavia. Prior to McKinsey, Ramsøy was a Senior Partner at Accenture. He holds an MS from MIT.

Arundo is a software company based in Oslo, Norway; Houston, TX; and Palo Alto, CA. Their products help business leaders and operations professionals in maritime and other heavy industries better manage complex physical systems through machine learning and data-driven software applications. Founded in 2015, Arundo has raised over $35 million in financing and currently consists of around 100 software engineers, data scientists, and industrial domain experts, including 23 PhDs. They are part of Stanford’s StartX program and have received investment from the Stanford-StartX Fund. Arundo was also named to the MIT STEX25 by the Massachusetts Institute of Technology Startup Exchange.

Sarah Reisinger currently runs Platform Delivery at Ginkgo Bioworks. She has more than twelve years of experience in the bio-tech industry, having had leadership roles in business development, alliance management and R&D. Prior to joining Ginkgo, she served as the Vice President of Business Development of the Consumer Sector of Intrexon, where she developed the internal BD strategy for skincare and cosmetic markets, culminating in the launch of a NewCo for the development of anti-aging skin care technologies.

Earlier in her career Dr. Reisinger served as Vice President of R & D collaborations at Amyris, Inc. where she successfully shepherded the development of multiple products in personal care through the full product life cycle. She began working in the field of synthetic biology in 2002 while at Kosan Biosciences, a pharmaceutical company focused on developing cancer therapeutic treatments. She received her B.S. in Biology at Harvey Mudd College and earned her M.S. in Plant Biology and her Ph.D. in Microbiology from the University of California, Berkeley.

Fabien Beckers is the CEO and co-founder of Arterys, a cloud/deep learning startup that is disrupting the medical imaging space and building image-based precision medicine tools. Fabien has led the growth of the company from four co-founders to a team of 34 today. Under his leadership, the company has become a pioneer in cloud-based medical imaging software, offering the first FDA-cleared end-to-end cloud infrastructure for medical imaging. They key advantages of the platform being automatic aggregation of real-world data and ability to scale and distribute the processing of increasingly large, complex datasets. Fabien’s vision for the company is to accelerate data-driven medicine by building precision medicine tools based on the consistent quantification of medical image features in combination with molecular, genomics and patient history data. Fabien holds a PhD in Quantum Physics from the University of Cambridge and a masters of business from Stanford University.

His research focuses on the bio-inspired robot design by extracting principles from animals. Kim's achievements on bio-inspired robot development include the world's first directional adhesive inspired from gecko lizards, and a climbing robot, Stickybot, that utilizes the directional adhesives to climb smooth surfaces featured in TIME's best inventions in 2006. Recent achievement includes the development of the MIT Cheetah capable of stable outdoor running up to 13mph and jumping over any obstacles autonomously. This achievement was covered by more than 200 media articles. He is a recipient of best paper award from International Conference on Robotics and Automation (2007), King-Sun Fu Memorial Transactions on Robotics (2008) and IEEE/ASME transactions on mechatronics (2016), DARPA Young Faculty Award (2013), NSF CAREER award (2014), and Ruth and Joel Spira Award for Distinguished Teaching (2015).

He has helped companies save hundreds of millions of dollars by helping them find and eradicate the hidden systems lurking inside every operation. She has been responsible for managing global higher education technology programs in the areas of Security, Digital Libraries (DSpace), Information Management, and Sustainability.

    Prior to this role she spent the previous eight years at Hewlett-Packard in the sales organization moving from the position of Field Sales Engineer to Global Account Manager. In this role she was responsible for selling, supporting and delivering high end test and measurement solutions for the communications industry.
