BRIAN ANTHONY: So now we're just about to hit our first session. So for each session that we have, the two today and three tomorrow, I'll introduce the speakers, I'll introduce the session, and then you'll hear from each one of those speakers, and then we'll come back together as part of a panel discussion. So session one, today, will kick off in a moment. But I'll ask you-- actually, I forgot. I'll have these trivia questions.
So when we do some of the transitions, something to think about during the next couple of speakers. If you can think about, when was the first clinical use of motion? When did doctors first actually start to use motion in understanding a health care need or addressing a health care need? So have that in the back of your mind. We'll answer that question later on today.
So now I'll introduce the panel. So we'll be joined today by professors Ellen Roche, Jeehwan Kim, and Neville Hogan, speaking about their various research, looking at hemodynamics in patients, looking at health monitoring of sweat, and the challenges of measuring human motion-- human motor behavior.
So that's our first session for today, and I'll now turn it over to Professor Roche.
