Research Summary
Professor Moran studies the interplay between information, incentives, and decision-making, both inside and outside firms. His recent work includes a field experiment on the motivational effects of “management by walking around” and a study on whether the availability of highly detailed performance information translates into improved decision-making by front-line managers.
