Professor Acquisti’s research has spearheaded the application of economics and behavioral economics to the study of privacy and personal data and prompted the investigation of privacy and disclosure behavior in social media. He is a contributing author to “The Economics of Privacy” (2024), a book that examines the mechanics of privacy in the digital age.
