MIT’s Work of the Future Initiative is convening a multidisciplinary working group of industry, policy, and academic leaders to examine how the design and implementation of generative AI tools can contribute to higher-quality jobs and inclusive access to the latest technologies. This new initiative is convening leading companies and nonprofits with support from Google’s Community Grants Fund.
Over the next two years, the working group will undertake three key activities: (1) Researching early use cases of generative AI at leading companies worldwide. (2) Serving as a convener by hosting virtual quarterly meetings for members to share progress and challenges with their use of generative AI tools, as well as to learn from their peers. (3) Developing training resources based on the group's research and feedback from participating organizations to assist in preparing or retraining workers as they integrate generative AI tools into their teams Working group members include Amsted Automotive, Cushman and Wakefield, Cytiva, Emeritus, Fujitsu, GlobalFoundries, Google Inc., IBM, Liberty Mutual, Mass General Brigham, MFS, Michelin, PwC, Randstad, Raytheon, and Xerox Corp. We're proud to note that a few ILP members are among them, thanks to your efforts. The group expresses appreciation for ILP's support.
