Project Start Date April 2021
The goal of the ALD Research Group is to solve outstanding problems in physics & modeling of turbulent flows using transformative tools and creativity. Our research is performed via rigorous mathematical theory combined with numerical simulation in the state-of-the-art supercomputers. The applications of our research range from UAVs and commercial airliners to hypersonic vehicles. Current lines of investigations include:
(*) Information theory to unveil the dynamics of turbulent flows. (*) Artificial Intelligence for external aerodynamic applications. (*) Quantum computing for numerical simulations of fluids. (*) Physics of hypersonic turbulence, laminar-to-turbulent transition & multiphase flows.
