Research Summary
Aerospace propulsion systems are arguably some of the most complex engineering devices that exist, and they spawn a host of intellectually challenging problems of high technological interest. The topics listed below arise in the context of predicting, understanding, and controlling these systems and range from fluid dynamics of turbomachinery and propulsion to initiatives for coupling the disciplines of fluids, structures, and control into new strategies for increasing system performance and operability.
