MIT MechE Alliance

The MechE Alliance taps into the MIT Department of Mechanical Engineering’s diverse and distinguished community to foster meaningful relationships between students, alumni, and industry partners. We connect members of the MechE community through a variety of programs and on-campus events. The goal is to build and strengthen relationships with our industry friends by working together to educate students.

The Premise:
(*) We are partners with industry in educating our students and preparing them for meaningful careers in industry.
(*) Strategy is predicated on mechanisms which benefit our students and improve this natural connection to industry.
(*) MechE Alliance will build strategic education relationships between select company partners and MIT/MechE.
This is done by: providing experiential, real-world learning opportunities; assisting companies recruiting our students and alumni; keeping industry informed about our education and research activities; building and maintaining points of collaboration; and and facilitating connections with research.

The MechE Alliance sponsors a weekly seminar series featuring MIT MechE students, post-docs, faculty, alumni and external partners.
