LUDUS: The MIT Center for Games, Learning, and Playful Media

LUDUS is an incubator for research of mutual interest: it provides organizations the opportunity to collaborate with researchers at MIT.

LUDUS, which is "The MIT Center for Games, Learning, & Playful Media,” coordinates six MIT labs, together having raised nearly $35 million over the last decade from industry, foundations, and government alike, to explore with its members these exciting possibilities for games and play.

In short, to work with LUDUS as a member means to shape the future of interactive media and narrative; to examine industries like eSports; to apply artificial intelligence to emerging media forms; to interrogate complex systems like the environment, economics, and politics; to advance the goals of scientists, engineers, policy-makers, educators, activists, and artists; and to help games address more diverse audiences through more inclusive design.
