Solve is an initiative of MIT working to solve world challenges. You are invited to work with people all over the world to submit your solutions to these challenges.

Solve CoLab is the community platform for Solve, a live meeting series and online community whose mission is to discover, evaluate, and advance solutions to global problems, or challenges.

Solve's Mission:
Identifying the best solutions to specific, actionable challenges through open innovation.
(*) Building and convening a community of leaders and changemakers committed to partnering together to pilot and implement these solutions.

Solve and Solve CoLab are organized around exploring and devising solutions to challenges that fall under four broad categories, or pillars, outlined below:

(*) Learn: Provide quality education to anyone with the will to learn, anywhere.

(*) Cure: Leverage innovations and research to make healthcare affordable and universally available.

(*) Fuel: Double energy and food production and halve carbon output.

(*) Make: Provide the infrastructure and economic opportunity to support the earth’s nearly 8 billion people.

Exploring the possibilities of collective intelligence -- The Solve CoLab platform is based on work done for Climate CoLab, an online crowdsourcing platform developed by the MIT Center for Collective Intelligence (CCI). Climate CoLab has convened a growing, global community of over 75,000 experts and non-experts to work together to develop and select innovative and effective proposals on how to tackle different aspects of the climate change problem.

Solve & CCI are working closely together to develop and advance methodologies for large-scale problem-solving. Learn more about CCI's work.
