The MIT Global Supply Chain and Logistics Excellence (SCALE) Network was formed in 2003 with the opening of the Zaragoza Logistics Center (ZLC) in Zaragoza, Spain. It expanded with the opening of the Center for Latin American Logistics Innovation (CLI) in Bogotá, Colombia in 2008, the creation of the Malaysia Institute for Supply Chain Innovation (2011), and the Luxembourg Centre for Logistics and Supply Chain Management (LCL) in 2015. The Ningbo China Institute for Supply Chain Innovation (NISCI) was opened in 2016.
Collectively, the MIT Global SCALE Network now spans to six centers of excellence on four continents, with over a dozen educational programs (both online and residential), more than 55 academic partners, 80 researchers and faculty, 150 corporate partners, and over 1200 alumni working worldwide.
The MIT Supply Chain and Logistics Excellence (SCALE) Network consists of centers located in North America, Europe, Latin America, and Asia.
The MIT-SCALE Network is committed to advancing supply chain expertise and innovation around the globe. Online and on-campus master's degrees and certificate programs, and executive education courses provide professionals of all ages and experience levels with powerful problem-solving frameworks and first-hand knowledge of cultural demands of collaborating across disciplines and countries. Students in all our programs learn what it takes for an organization to be resilient in a volatile global marketplace, and work closely with partner companies in diverse industries to devise solutions to real-world challenges.
