We develop novel approaches, such as correlated continuous time random walk, to quantitatively describe anomalous transport (early breakthrough) of fluids in fractured reservoirs. We work closely with geophysicists to combine new approaches to seismic characterization and flow modeling in a methodology of joint seismics-flow inversion under uncertainty that exploits the complementary character of each type of data. If successful, this work could lead to a new technology for the screening and assessment of production scenarios in fractured reservoirs, especially when production data is limited.
