Global Leadership Program (GLP)

Co-investigator Kate Lynn Rhodes

The Global Leadership Program (GLP) is a fully funded exchange established through collaboration between the Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD) and the MIT-SUTD Collaboration Office. One of the key goals of the program is to provide an opportunity for SUTD students to interact with peers at MIT. As such, they will participate in projects on campus that will be led by MIT students and/or faculty.

In summer 2013, 28 SUTD students were involved in the highly successful launch of the program. Following this success, 30 students will be in residence at MIT for the summer 2014 GLP. These 30 students will have gone through the first 3 semesters of SUTD's rigorous undergraduate program, including an intro to design course, and will likely be at the top of their class.

The Global Leadership Program includes but is not limited to:
-Intensive 6-day LeaderShape Institute program
-Design of an Electric Water Vessel
-Wilderness Education for Engineers
-Ceramics
-Architectural Drawing
-Technical Writing Workshops
