Health Information Seeking

Principal Investigator Joseph Coughlin

How do we filter through an abundance of advice in the Information Age? Generational comparisons are made in how personal health information in sought and consumed within the clinical visit and supplemented or altered through social networks and media. How information is passively scanned or actively sought out, whether it is referenced before, after or during the clinical visit, and how these actions factor into health decisions, are explored.
