Current speech technologies help us communicate more clearly and efficiently through direct speech, but what about the moments in life when we are speechless or out of words? How can technology encapsulate the many dimensions of human communication? MugShots is an exploration of possible “crutches” for communication, opening alternative channels for expression through meaningful personal objects and playful visuals.
