MIT-China Innovation and Entrepreneurship Forum (MIT-CHIEF)

Project Website http://www.mitchief.org/

Project Start Date March 2011

Founded in 2011, The MIT-China Innovation and Entrepreneurship Forum (MIT-CHIEF) is a not-for-profit student group registered at MIT. The mission is to promote intellectual exchange and collaboration between China and the U.S. in technologies, innovation and entrepreneurship. Volunteers include passionate and dedicated individuals from both within and outside MIT.

As one of the largest entrepreneur communities on the East Coast, we strive to connect the most valuable US-based startups with leading investors, strategic partners and market access in China.

Every year, MIT-CHIEF hosts three major events, namely the China Trip (in the summer), the Pitch-to-China Business Plan Contest (starting from April), and the Annual Conference (around November). Besides the three major events, we also offer participants unparalleled opportunities to share knowledge on cutting-edge technologies and gain valuable business insights through lectures, workshops and startup demos all year round.

MIT-CHIEF is home to hundreds of startups, including Mobvoi (出门问问), Smarking, MorphLab, and Recon Therapeutics. Over the past few years, the total funding raised by startups in the MIT-CHIEF community has exceeded 100 million US dollars.
