What are the relationships between the places we build, our social communities, travel behavior, and energy use and environmental effects? I have aimed to answer this question in places such as:
(*) Santiago de Chile, most recently examining the relationship between the built environment, household travel greenhouse gas and local pollutant emissions.
(*) In Boston, MA, examining the inter-relationships among residential preferences, community choice, physical form and local travel behavior among the baby boomers(*) In China, looking at the relationship between neighborhood design and total household energy use and greenhouse gas emissions
