MIT-Netherlands Program (MISTI)

Principal Investigator C Cem Tasan

Co-investigator Justin Leahey

With a geographic size only slightly larger than the state of Massachusetts, the Netherlands ranks as the 16th largest economy in the world.

Innovation is the cornerstone of the Dutch economy, bolstered by a commitment to and promotion of a knowledge economy.

Launched as a pilot program in 2012, the MIT-Netherlands Program sends a select number of highly qualified interns to top companies, universities and research organizations in the Netherlands.

Working with a network of leading hosts, we connect students with hands-on internships in the Netherlands. Interested students are required to:

(*) have knowledge (minimum of 2 semesters) of a foreign language: Dutch or German
(*) attend cultural prepartion during MIT spring break

Beyond internships, the MIT-Netherlands Corporate Consortium offers sponsors the opportunity to support global education while developing a tailored partnership with MIT.
