Juanes Research Group

The Juanes Research Group studies the physics of multiphase fluid flow in porous media
and its application in the areas of energy and the environment. We elucidate key physical mechanisms at the small scale using minimal-ingredient models and laboratory experiments; then, explore through mathematical analysis and computation how the physics insight feeds into geologic-scale problems.
