The Interdisciplinary Workshop on Institutions and Development (IWID) brings together graduate students and faculty from a range of different social science disciplines and programs at MIT. Workshop sessions revolve primarily around discussions of ongoing research by graduate students. Thematically, the workshop focuses on the impact of institutions, broadly conceived, on economic and social development.
