Beinecke Scholarship

Principal Investigator Kimberly L Benard

The Beinecke Scholarship is a $32,000 scholarship awarded to outstanding students to pursue graduate education in the arts, humanities, and social sciences anywhere. The program seeks to encourage and enable highly motivated students to pursue opportunities available to them and to be courageous in their selection of a graduate course of study; thus it is highly appropriate for MIT students interested in these fields. Applicants often come from disciplines such as Courses 4, 11, 14, 17, 21, and 24, but any student who is interested in pursuing such study is encouraged to apply. Each year approximately 100 colleges and universities are invited to nominate one student each for national consideration and about 20 scholarships are awarded. Applications must be made through MIT.
