What is the relationship between signature events and the places in which they take place? We are particularly interested in the impact that events have on place rather than the other way around.
This is an ongoing research collaboration between the Town Planning program of the Universitat Politecnica de Catalunya in Barcelona and the Department of Urban Studies and Planning at MIT. We have done case studies throughout North America and Western Europe, which have been published in a report, Event Places/Llocs amd Esdeveniments (English and Catalan).
