Colloidal-Scale Self-Organized Electrochemical Devices

This project is aimed at directed assembly of ion storage materials from multicomponent colloidal suspensions using surface forces to fabricate electrochemical devices. Colloid force probe microscopy is used to characterize directly the interactions between similar and dissimilar particles of micron and submicron size scale. Current work is focused towards rechargeable lithium batteries and electrochromic devices.
