DUSP-PSC Career Development Summer Internships in International Public Service

The MIT Public Service Center (PSC) and the Department of Urban Studies and Planning (DUSP) co-sponsorc career development Internships for International Public Safety .

DUSP students planning to do international development work over the summer or who need funding may consider applying to the Career Development Summer Internship Program.

Currently, three summer internships in international public service are being funded -- with each intern receiving a stipend of $2500.

This internship is very similar to PSC Fellowships which includes a proposal with work plan, interview, on-site supervisor, weekly email communication, writing and presentation requirements at the end. Community-based research or capacity-building service for under-served communities may also be required. Some students work with multinational organizations, some with indigenous organizations.

The program funds International development public service projects that have a prospect of sustainable benefit for the community and continued interest from the student.
