Micropromoters, Microgrooves and Microslots as Scaled-Matched Sublayer Destabilizers

Destabilization concept can be extended to laminar sublayer destabilization for turbulent flow regimes. Initial findings shows that this approach to augmentation is a very effective way to enhance heat transfer performance with low pumping power requirements. Experiments will cover various schemes for sublayer destabilization: microgrooves, micropromoters, ultrasound in combination with microgrooves and others.
