Research Summary
Professor Vakoc's laboratory focuses on the translation of innovative optical technologies into the clinical management and biological study of disease. In the clinic, we are developing coherent optical imaging platforms that can be deployed endoscopically to diagnosis and guide the treatment of disease at earlier stages. In the biological laboratory, we are developing these imaging technologies into tools that reveal the development and therapeutic response of disease in vivo. Our methodology for achieving these aims combines a core focus on optical technologies with cross-disciplinary collaboration and broad-based engineering.
