As Senior Industrial Liaison Officer, Jeff helps initiate research relationships between MIT faculty and companies working in the healthcare, life sciences and manufacturing sectors worldwide. In 1985, he began his career as a staff engineer at Bolt Beranek and Newman (BBN) Labs in Cambridge and then moved overseas to pursue graduate research in solar engineering at Ben-Gurion University in Israel. Since then, he has worked in engineering and product management positions at Scitex Corporation (acquired by HP and Kodak), IET Intelligent Electronics, Nur Macroprinters (acquired by HP) and Sunlight Medical. After completing a graduate degree in management, Jeff took on senior roles in marketing, sales and strategic business development in companies with products ranging from diagnostic instrumentation to drug discovery software. He speaks fluent Hebrew and Argentinean Spanish.

As a preeminent academic institution with a penchant for solving real-world problems, MIT best exemplifies the interdisciplinary culture needed to conquer disease, reduce poverty, improve education, preserve the environment and yield new sources of inexpensive energy. Through his role in the Office of Corporate Relations, Jeff strives to cultivate dialog and further interactions between faculty and industry leaders that may contribute to these goals, as well as enrich the overall study of science, engineering and management at MIT and elsewhere.
